Brandon, MS | Have to make a drive up to Ames next week. The route was going to the Des Moines and then turning straight north on I-35. It seems that there's some road construction going on in that area.
I'd be coming up from the southeast and going through Mt. Pleasant, Ottumwa, Pella, etc. on 34 and 63/163.
Should I make plans to take an alternate route to avoid the road construction on I-35? Or worth a detour to avoid Des Moined altogether?
