Top of Texas | I bought a used 2003 Chevy pickup at a farm auction but when I went to the tag office they told me they can’t issue anything because there’s a lienholder listed on the title and the lien has to be released. It turns out the former owner is deceased and the pickup was sold by his estate so no help there. I called up the auction company to see what they might be able to do but it appears to be nothing. The lienholder is listed as GMAC % PDP GROUP so I wonder if I could call GM or if that would just be a tangled mess of red tape and dead ends. | |
