cropsey, il 61731 | Great verse, but not always easy. I got saved as I started farming in 93 and I can't imagine farming without knowing God is in charge. Now, some year later, I crashed my ducati (I think I missed a van right in front of me) and it turns out my aorta has an aneurysm (I go to the surgeon to dicsuss options). My family is mostly grown and my wife decided she doesn't believe any longer. I pray for my family, but I'm largely not in control of how they believe. Maybe before I go I'll finally give a good testimony and they will trust Jesus again. We'll see. I can fix lots of things but not this.
I used to listen to Christian music all the time and got a little out of the habit trying to please various employees. I have to admit the country song "she hates me" is pretty good. My son is working with me and he may be shy but he believes and I play more Christian music in the shop. It helped before and it definitely helps now.
I'm not trying to say I have it any worse that the OP, but we need to stay focused on Jesus and go with His plan for our lives. Rest in that, we can't do much else. I love it when everything is going my way, but it's hard to beat being close to God during the tough times.
Just a side note, a whole bunch of our keyboard friends have gone on over the years. This was all new at one time. | |
