Being diagnosed is a this generation thing. But think about every character your town used to or still does have. Those folks were all undiagnosed mental health disorders.
Old guy dressed up as a war general, crazy cat lady, stamp collectors, people that post ramblings about the antichrist on box trailers along the highway. The many people who offed themselves in the 80s. All undiagnosed. All neededhelp. I'm glad there is help available to these people today.
