I've played with automated data entry off and on for several years....I've never been impressed that it's of much value in most farming operations:  Automating expense entries is mostly worthwhile for things like credit card transactions. And if you use your credit card for farm transactions, you'll still be editing many of the imported transactions to add necessary detail--like splitting the transaction among different accounts, or assigning Classes.

And it is never a good idea to automate income transaction entries (bank deposits especially). Deposits should always be entered manually before you send them to the bank....because downloaded deposits contain too-sparse data about the checks or other amounts which made up the deposit. And that means you won't have good information for posting those transactions to the right accounts. And if you don't have a record of deposits you can't know which ones are still outstanding (if they were mailed, for instance).
