SESD | Things looked really nice and had high expectations a few weeks ago. We have been on the edge all year with no ground moisture, but got some nice small rains, biggest was 1.25". Now no rain and hot temps. Neighbor had adjuster out a couple days ago, I assume he wants to hay and bale the corn. My corn, when you get past the outside several rows, has a couple brown leaves and stalk turning brown. Tough areas aren't putting out an ear. Agronomist said we are probably losing 1-3% a day. Getting a nice shower now though. | |
