I’ve seen a few threads on here talking about crop going downhill quickly in ND and SD. Just looking at the drought monitor it doesn’t look too bad. Too much rain early and no roots? Help me to understand how big of an issue is possible up there.
In the west very little rain and now weeks of 100 have happened and weeks of 90s and 100s predicted to come.
Combine that with a cold spring...
Corn and beans are replacing small grains as well, along with Canola. 100 bushel corn or 40 bushel wheat, your choice, fertilizer costs are very close, but corn has the ability to go as 20 to 30 ton and acre silage for the cows that still exist in great enough numbers here. |
