NCSD | Not sure we could’ve had a much better setup leading up to 2 1/2 weeks ago
Excellent stand. Small rains spaced out to get herbicide and fertilizer incorporated.
No big rains. Just enough to keep crops growing and sersrfjing for moisture deep, lawn grass always on the edge
Good soil moisture in the fields.
100 plus with 30 mph wind for 10 days straight tends to put a strain on things.
There are some corn fields nearby that have received 2.75 inches of moisture in 2026 that are ready to be zeroed
There are some corn fields nearby that have had 9 inches of moisture in 2026 that look to have well over 200 bushel potential
Majority in this county is around 4-6 inches of moisture this year which leaves us looking at a lot of corn that is hanging on with still decent potential but with more 100 plus and wind I don’t think will fare very good. I’m currently expecting less than 100 bpa on my farm. If it rained 2 inches tonight I’d have a much different expectation.
