Near Intersection of I-35 & I-90 Southern Mn. | As mentioned possibly your tractor did not come from the factory with auto steer capabilities since it is a scraper special.
I have an 8310R with auto steer. My tractor does have the switch in the Command Arm. It is a special switch rather than just a common momentary as some other systems use. My tractor came off a vegetable company lease.
I installed an Ag Leader CAN steering system which uses the Deere switch. My switch would not reliably engage auto steer. The screen icon was dependable and always worked but was not as handy. A Deere tech told me where to look in the diagnostics to view the operation of the original switch. For whatever reason, my original switch was not reliably returning to the normal position crisply when released (spilled Mountain Dew by a former driver?). Anyway replacing the switch cured my problem. |
