NW Indiana | This is not a demand driven rally. With a trend crop there is plenty of supply. The USDA had a major swing and miss two years ago on what demand looked like going forward after the reflection of inflation from the covid years. Exports are strong but again there is ample acres to meet supply. This rally is based on fears of a below trend crop and there is becoming a risk the crop could fall to a level that needs price rationing. Had we raised another crop like last year the talk would be closer to how are we going to stimulate demand, thats far from a demand rally. A demand driven rally is when the market is trying to force expansion such as the ethanol boom.
