What is their reason for replacment of ,pump , was a pressure check done , there are a couple places to check , also shift speed is adjustable , what does your pressure gauge on dash show ? Likie mentioned below try to find ,an older mechanic thats been around older machinery even back then powershifts were un common and Deere shops weren't familiar with them . I have a '64 30 & 4020 and a 4430 powershift . The 64's had pto brake problems had both of mine plus a couple neighbors apart , the pto brake was weak and they changed style of the steel disks in pto clutch pack not a bad job to do . The 3020 did lots of pto work , mounted picker sheller etc feed wagon etc back in the day had to ,fix it was dangerous not shutting off especially ,in winter . Also have a 148 loader on 3020 did lots of loader work ,in past years . The main thing with those old ,powershifts is they like clean oil and pressure in the high side other wise they'll slip and thet burns cluitch disks etc . I ran the old 4020 many years tractor pulling at 225 hp and never slipped it shifts a little harsh but ok .
