While I'm not an expert on the foundtaion pouring I'll question you this, if your only 6" above the concrete pad (I'm guessing not a round pad for bin) how will you unload it? Yea, you could use an incline auger on the bin unload, but those suck in all reality. BTDT. Concrete and stone to use a taller forms for a taller foundation so you can use a stright bin unload and get an auger under it is WORTH EVERY PENNY!

Last couple pads we poured over an existing bin pad were when going larger diameter, and taller, bins. We did drill holes and rebar tie the old pad to the new pour both around it and on top of it.

I think someone posted some bin pad specs for Sukup bins in a prevuous post in the last week. Might wanna go look that up for some piece of mind.
