Pincor units were built in Chicago years ago and it was a sole owner company and the owner never sold it to anyone. It just stopped operations. I would have bought that company if I had known.
They were good units and I gave a 20kw to one of my part time workers. He has about 100kw of solar and about 40kw of wind (not wise to invest in these units but he was into that long before the recent years). But on his 150 ft wind tower(and old oli derick from the pump jack days to change out rod) he has some lease space for cell and other communications. The Pincor with the Wisconsin engine is auto start provides E power to the tower via a auto transfer switch.
If the two wires come out of the back of your generator and if the two wires go into the exciter (looks like a small generator) and if they are marked F1 and F2 or F+ and F- , then those are the exciter fields wires and the unit needs a voltage regulator. We would have any type of regulator but they vary and a lot of different ones. If your unit does not have slip rings then it is brush less. | |
