Thinking about using my 3788 for planting corn next year and would like to know who has installed a auto steer in one of these tractors that works. Thanks.

I have not, but since you're in SW Ohio like me, I'd be glad to talk to you about some Trimble hardware you could give it a try with....I should have most of the expensive parts in stock we could do some testing with.

I can get kits for the 2wd units, wonder if throwing another gyro out in the front end would help on a 2 + 2, I can definitely see how steering one would be screwy. Driving them is screwy to me!

EDIT: Maybe my 2nd gyro idea isn't the best, reading the manual to refresh my brain reminded me that only 1 is active. On the Trimble there is one in the newer NAV-900/960 receiver, and we can add another if the NAV is in a place that's seeing a lot of movement, normally placed up high on a grain tank, spray rack, etc. Possibly it could work to put the NAV out on the nose, and then use an external gyro on the rear end if it wanted to get goofy. Would be an interesting project, maybe I don't really have time for it LOL
