| When you park the truck in a soft spot, do you stop and then back up a couple of feet? It makes taking off forward much easier to get a little momentum before you are in soft soil again.
I have also backed the truck up fully loaded if it doesn't feel like it wants to roll ahead easily.
Sometimes the reverse gear has a deeper ratio than first gear so it goes backward more easily.
These ideas also work with a clutch and manual transmission.
My Allison trucks will always ease out of a difficult situation much better than a manual truck.
If it won't get rolling on hard ground or pavement, then you have other issues. | |
