We've run a Devastator for 6-7 years. We live on an open Prarie where it's windy on a calm day. You may get a few shucks blowing but no worse than off a field shelled with a regular head. They splinter the stalks but it still remains attached to the root ball. I've seen a lot more blow off a VT tool or chopping head.
