HotRod magazine did a test many years ago after the original accelerating Lexus incident. They tested half a dozen vehicles or so, including a forced induction sports car, might have been a Mustang. In every case, every car was able to stop with the accelerator held to 100% wide open throttle. The supercharged sports car had an extra long stopping distance, maybe about a quarter mile, and Im sure the brakes were wrecked, but they all stopped.
