You don’t list any hours on your tractor, and may not know, but I would sure flow and pressure test the transmission pump circuit to know for sure a pump is needed. The Power-Shift transmission pumps normally have a very long life compared to the Syncro and Quad type transmission pumps. Also I am unaware of an increased capacity pump for a 3020 PS ever being offered. I think that All States, Worthington and Abilene type rebuilders list complete remained clutch packs for maybe half of 8200 dollars. As another poster up above suggests, find a competent independent mechanic familiar with 8 speed PS tractors and just replace what is needed. Most current John Deere dealers do not have parts or service people familiar with these older tractors. The last year for a green PS 8 speed tractor, 1982, 44 years ago. Hope this helps.
