Bighorn basin, Wyoming | We have a case ih 8240, running in high yielding malt barley. This is the first year with this machine and Estes XPR3 concaves (2388 previously) we started with their suggested settings, but the seive loss seems to be out of this world compared to what we’re used to seeing.
Any suggestions? We’ve slowed the fan down, rotor slowed and concaves opened up, adjusted the upper and lower seive, but still doesn’t seem to be doing much.
We aren’t getting much more capacity than the 2388, maybe 10% if that and it’s only working at about 50% engine load when it’s tough.
Sample seems to be quite clean still, we adjusted the seive angle a little bit and that didn’t do a whole lot
