To follow up on my earlier post. The gear box did start the fires but its because it is vibrating and the mounts are getting hot and you have a fire. As I said I had the rotor balanced the two speed gear box was all gone through new bearing and shaft. I replaced mounting bushings seemed better ran two days and another fire. If anyone has had something like this on this combine I would like to hear from you. If you have one of these machines and take a video of the gear box running at 8 or 900 RPMs. Thanks
