Barry County, MI | My sons kids really like the farm even though they live in the big city or outskirts of signal mi, so we do a fair amount of shooting learning the hillbilly way of hunting guns , anyway 3 of them have a pretty fairack for hitting the targets ,
the 12 year old boy seen on the computer the conservation club was having a shooting day and talked his dad into taking the 12 9 years= boys and the 5 year old girl well I guess their were 40 or so kids I believe they had a blast the girl she shoots a bb gun here at the farm and a single shot old Winchester 22 they all have done that for sometime when big enough to hold the gun ha ha well they shoot clays and a moving target and other stuff Id guess well right off the grand daughter hit a moving target with the bb gun and the boy could hit the moving targets also the 12 year old is going to probably be 6 ft 4 inch or so he looks the part of the hillbilly squirrel hunter and I only give him 3 shell to kill squirrels with or he will clean out our woods ha ha we really never shot clays as they have something in the clays that will poison hogs and livestock so we never worked on that but I would work on shooting target giving t`hem 2 to 3 seconds depending witch kid to shoot. well any way I borrowed a 410 Winchester single shot from friend and took him hunting for squirrels when he was 9 and he killed the first 4 he shoot at and missed shot 5 and got shot one on shot 6 , I thought he made me look like a cloud when I started hunting a couple years older than he was ha ha anyway they started shooting clays and he missed the first 3 then the instructor told him he had to lead the target and he got 9 out of the next 10 he was shooting a 20 ga. but anyway that made me feel pretty good . I believe Boone I read you have a grand son that shoot clays a good bit . hope everything is going well getting that cattle farm set up. that my plans for some of my grand kids to do when Im done ha ha take care we have a lot of smoke from fires in Canada here today finishing cleaning the bins out of organic corn this week and 2025 will be over ha ha archie | |
