n. Illinois | John did you know that Paul Volker was the person at the treasury in the early 1970's that talked Nixon's Secretary of the Treasury into talking Nixon to go off the gold standard.
In layman's language Volker is the person who lit your house on fire and then ran off so he could drive the fire truck to your burnt down house who then prevented the neighbors house from being burnt down and the world hails him as a hero and financial wizard who saved us. but in reality he had a theory and the theory was wrong. I want that gig, to be so massively wrong that everyone thinks I am a hero.
