We really like growing oats too. Obviously….

Those are awesome tonnages. The oatlage we gad was great too, chopped about 300 acres. Milborn has been good to work with for us. SD Ranger may be a variety to look into for next year if you want an oat that can be grain or forage. Replaces SD Rushmore and supposed to stand better.

The farmer owners of the mill will be our primary source of raw oats for the initial 4M bushels annually needed. We are putting together the flow sheets and architectural for a twin “B” mill next to the mill. This will take an additional 4M bushels that may require pulling some oats from other farmers. Won’t get the premium price of an investors but still will be a solid price.
