Latimer Iowa | We are running round bars. The stems are very damp and anything else plugs up. We had to switch the rear rasp bars on the rotor as the way it came from the factory was sucking too much power. Gained about 1000 bph after switching them. Our 8250 had more capacity until we did this. Case also changed how the engine power used % reads out I guess. Now there others is a torque curve for each crop depending on how the 1200 is setup. In oats it doesn’t leave any reserve. In the flagships we could run it 100-110% with still a little reserve. On the AF, 100% is it and there is minimal power boost after that. I slugged it down unloading on the go and ended up doing a “hard kill stop” before learning this from the combine guy.
That is interesting on the cross auger. We have left the hoods all the way down and it has been running. I will look at the pin slop and see if there is too much and maybe switch out the pulley and driver. Thank you for idea.
The sample has been great with the AF. The longer rotor seems to help. I could have a discussion with the engineer behind the shed about some of the access points, toolboxes, steps though. | |
