If this is something you do alot of, check to see if you have the starter flaps on one of the rollers, they look like pieces of baler belt that go all the way across the roll, I think its the one thats not smooth, its got rods welded to it. If not then I would look into the kit, some balers have them, some dont, but they will help getting a bale started. basically its just some rubber flaps, a strip of steel to hold it down, and some torx headed flat screws 

If you have the starter flaps, they may be getting worn.
