| My family in Dallas gives us instructions on areas not to go through. One even had to board up his business during BLM protests a few years ago, but that was everywhere they went.
I picked up a transmission one night from a builder in Crowley. He pointed out a section of road on my way home that he said if I blew a tire to run it on the rim to get to a truck stop or somewhere with people around.
I don’t think it’s as bad as some other cities though and 99.99% of it is safe especially anywhere you’d go on vacation. I refuse to go to San Antonio myself. During stock show season you’re guaranteed to hear of someone local that got their vehicle vandalized, stolen, tools and air compressor stolen or lost their exhaust or tail lights off a pickup. I’m just not interested in being exposed to that. They could fleece me in my driveway tonight, but I know more people who have had trouble there than at home.
