Sioux County, NWIA
Oiling in cornstalks is probably working against you. There is more abrasive soil dust in cornstalks and bean straw than any other crop, and wet chains seem to catch the abrasive and hold it on the chains. I ran auto oilers on a pair a balers for a year or two and even with the oilers set for a pretty heavy dose the chains didn't seem to benefit from the oil. And at that rate we couldn't get a full working day out of the oiler reservoir.
