Exactly, price an auger and compare. Not even close. Granted a grain leg costs a lot to put up but they last a very long time. The grain leg maintenance is so minimal. Take the expenses I laid out and cut the bushels down to 100,000/year. That’s still just a cent per bushel. I get that prices seem high but I’m a firm believer that you pay for grain storage whether you own it or not. Just like field tile imo. Of course you have to be able to pay for anything, but if you can bins and tile are both money making assets
