In recent years there's been so many bizarre claims that have turned out to be true that I just ignore stuff such as that and let the reader decide.  There's a saying, "Just because you're paranoid doesn't mean they aren't after you."

The strange thing about medicine and treatments is, different people have different results from the same procedure and medication.  Note the warnings of may cause diarrhea and constipation.  Or the medications that are given for depression that may cause suicide.
