| The line thing is very real. Back in the early 80's, getting corn done by Christmas was the goal.
I have a bill from around 1985 where I charged the farmer .17 for sitting inline. I didn't charge until the elevator opened and gave him 2 free hours. I left his field the evening before and got in line.
I also remember sitting in line 4 days and unlaoding 5 loads. I was hauling about 15 miles and the truck was inline if it wasn't going to get another load. That was in the summer though. | |
