Meanwhile here basis is worse than at harvest
Use the OP’s example on corn and you’ve stored corn for 9 months and it’s worth less than it was out of the field by $.20 or more at the moment and now you can haul it out with $4.65 fuel instead of $3 fuel on top of it.
Bins help with harvest I don’t deny that but they aren’t always a slam dunk.
