In Ohio insurance companies have to settle in a certain amount of time. It might be 2 years. I know a few people who refused to settle for what the insurance company was offering. Insurance companies are hoping people need the money now and will settle for cheap. I know of 1 case it cost the insurance company way more after paying for a rental car waiting for an easy quick settlement.
