Subject: RE: BiNs DoNt PaY

I hate to tell you Joe, but here, the guy with the bins will get more bid for his corn than the guy with grain in the elevator, all day, everyday. Here you would have .40 in storage in town, that much extra dock, plus loose about that much again in price when you sell.
In my case, there is little trucking to the bin. My bins are all on farms where the grain is raised. I do have one more auger charge, which runs me about a cent.
I can harvest 2 or 3 thousand bushel a day if I am hauling to town. I can do 10,000 a day into a bin. Electricity is way less than the drying charge in town.
I don't hit the high by any means, but I am around $1.85 ahead on my beans this year. Average.
I am not doing as well on the corn. It looks like my average is going to be about .85 or so on the corn. Some will be over a buck and some will be .50.
We are not even going to talk about the fact I would have been harvesting this spring, plus harvest loss.
