I am with you on the imprecise vocab.  We wrap up a lot of concepts in single words or phrases that could be more accurately expressed using duration/intensity modifiers.  Colloquially and also through complex issues simplified into for/against arguments/propaganda.

Think about it too long and too philosophically and it gives me a headache.
