My take is they view current risk right now is being short the market. Beans have a long way to go and although beans aren't made in july you can certainly do damage to them especially if pod counts get reduced.

They have been buying since the report last week which was neutral to slightly bullish. Corn inspections were still very strong last week and above the trade guess. And I wouldn't be surprised if there are some sales announced tomorrow morning for both crops. The ratio of new vs old volume is probably pretty simple for beans. There are very few left in farmers hands and price was able to move higher on less volume because of that. My views only, worth what you paid for them.
