Subject: Corn v. Beans CBOT

Boone Co. Iowa
Just looking at old crop and new crop and market interest....volume traded today July 6 2026.

Sept. Corn traded a volume of 170,000
Dec, Corn traded a volume of 227,000

Aug. Beans traded a volume of 84,000
Sept. Beans traded a volume of 37,000
Nov. Beans traded a volume of 253,000

So, what is your take on these volumes of trading?

I got this via (https://www.barchart.com/futures/grains)

My takeaway is that folks are concerned about New Crop beans, acres and maybe China demand? Biodiesel processing? August weather? Money flowing to commodities? El Nino and S. America production?

I have always been a thinking that $12 beans are no-man's land. Do we go higher? Go to $13?

I am 55% beans 45% corn this year. Would really like to see beans in the teens. I got 17 bpa beans sold at $11.28 on the board.

Nov. closed at $11.92 traded up to $11.97.
