I agree. But the market doesn’t seem to want our wheat. Regardless of how much or little we raise. So what are the alternatives?
Silage.
There is more money in corn, even if it all gets chopped, than there is in Wheat.
It is EXTREMELY surprising how far corn genetics have came in the last decade. I never thought I'd see corn on our place in ND yet here we are, double the amount of last year and probably should have tripled the amount as it doesn't seem to be affected as bad by the lack of rain and cool start compared to everything else. |
