you mean you never oil a roller chain special on a round baler....? Each to your own, but Wow! ,,,,,,roller chains absolutely need oil to last longer. As the chain moves around the sprockets, the pins and bushings inside each link rub against each other. Without oil, this friction causes rapid wear, leading to what is commonly known as chain "stretch".
