Cen Ks | The 6.5hp engines(Honda GX160 & others) used on 2" transfer pumps seem to all have non adjustable carbs(fuel/air).
Replacement carbs easily available online for $12- 20...all non-adjustable. Are there old style adjustable carbs available?
We have a pump that runs rich all the time, especially at operating temp. I've swapped carbs , checked valve clearance, air filter, etc, etc.
Occasionally it will run fine for several minutes, then it starts its trick. It rarely dies, just runs rich and smokes black smoke a little.
