Please give death/injury statistics for these things, as every swinging dick in rural America seems to have one.
Don't know anything about statistics......IN 2002 about 24 years ago...... WE lost a good friend at 44 years of age. A fireworks accident putting on a show for a neighboring town celebration by the fire department>>> a mortar somehow ignited in an unintended time and place., Instant death. Impacted in the abdominal region and instantly imploded his body.
Somewhere around 1992 my sons classmate lost one of his eyes as he got hit with a rocket as some idiots were shooting them at him...
I had a classmate had a car burn to the ground 30 years abo as she left a window open and the fire started inside on the seat.
Several years back a young fellow lawn mower ran over a lost or misfired mortar in the grass with a lawnmower and it ignited, flipped the lawnmower over backwards and destroyed the shape of the mower deck. The young fellow was unharmed but was thrown back off the mower on his back. Those mortor shells aren't toys, that for sure.
