coast of Maine
If you come from the east side on I-70 just over the Utah border there is a side road that sneaks down into the Arches area. This was amazing in itself. You could stay in GJ CO. for that side if desired. Then you have the Monument park in Fruita. This drivable park is neat. When you are quivering on the drop offs with no guard rails think about the poster RonM whom as a teen would race around in cars up there.Really excellent area there for touring. In the arches winter can be cool,we hiked there a few years back, there was an ice storm, tourists had city shoes on,3 slipped to their death that day. This rock was on just a random trail near GJ,crazy ancient drawings.
