Took a drive around Lake Superior in 2013. Once you get past Thunder Bay there was mostly deserted logging towns. I remember staying in marathon for the night. The town was fairly modern but a ghost town. Visiting with the (only)hotel owner, he said good thing you came when you did as he was closing the next week. Sault Ste.Marie had lots to see and do.
