N FLA
There is BTO feedyards and order buyers locally. I suspect they do really well overall. Very few small operations buying to precondition. I've tried to buy some to add to my calves. But never could get to a semi load or find enough advantage to make it worthwhile.

I keep cows because they are pretty simple to make work with a full time job. I've always felt like I have to feed calves 2x a day and also don't have economical feeds to grow calves at a rate you can get an economic return.

I have a dream that I have a truck that was reliable enough to cross state lines and I can take big gooseneck loads of preconditioned yearlings west someday. But it seems fleeting. Buying to add in would have to be part of that dream because I can't put enough land together to run enough cows to make much work like this.
