Did they start one on each side by design or as competition. For what it is worth we put a flag on a leg many years ago and during a windstorm the railing system on top got bent up. Flags do create a lot of force.
From what I can tell, they started off in competition, but a year or two into it they started combining things. I never thought to ask them, they died when i was young. Pretty sharp.pair. We have two sets of business cards, and canceled checks for the beginning, but about 1935ish it was all.one deal. Thats when they started calling it Wise Bros. In 1963 they incorporated which simplified things. |
