Northeast ks | I put one in the upstairs of a farmhouse rental about 6 years ago. The renters said it cooled really well, but wouldn't heat when the outside temperature was under freezing. It did stop cooling last year due to a cracked copper line. I fixed that and is working again.
The better solution would be to put an air handler in the attic with flex duct going to each room. Then you would have heat with electric heat strips as well as ac. This would cost closer to $8-10k though. | |
