Galena IL | I have a pipe notcher for my iron worker. TSC sells a slip over piece that the plasma cuter can fallow. Third way is to lay a piece of angle (if your pipe is 2 inch OD your angle has to be 1 inch or less on the side your using to mark) that is at least as long as your pipe, put a mark at each end then move the angle piece 180 degrees and mark the other side of the pipe. Then set your cut off to 31 or 32 degrees placing the saw so it starts on your mark cutting off a 1/2 moon, then turn the pipe a 1/2 turn to the other mark. Fit nice for welding. The reason you need to lay the angle on the pipe is so the cuts are in line to welded on the pipe on the other end straight...Dennis | |
