It's quite scenic and a nice drive for the MN part of the north shore of Superior. I've not done the Canadian part.
A couple tunnels you'll drive through. Lighthouses and overlooks like split rock lighthouse. Gooseberry falls is a popular stop right on the route. Grand Portage is a nice historic stop right by the border for history and waterfalls. Some more falls there you can hike to like the largest in MN.
Just south of Duluth is Jay Cooke St Park with a fun walking bridge over some river rapids.
