The card company isnt going to give the money back on just your word i don't believe.
I refuse to use postal money orders because if they get lost it takes 30 or 90 days to get them replaced.
And in this case hes already used a cc. In some cases thats all some sellers accept.
And if it says
All sales are final
you have no recourse.
