The principles the founding fathers of the USA adhered to, were based on Biblical teaching and understanding. Doug Barton and his son Tim Barton have researched the history of the founding. I regret not being a better student of history in school. The little history I received was not taught the realities of what occurred during the founding. The many documents and letters written prove the founding fathers were Christian men. Not perfect on their own merits, but made perfect by the grace of Jesus. The founders would start their meetings with prayer. One prayer lasted 2 hours. If you look at the realities of the continental army going up against the British forces, divine intervention is the only explanation of the victory which started the USA. Over the 250 years we have been blessed by God. If we as a nation repent and call upon God, He will continue the blessings.
