Pex, when done properly can look just as professional as copper. I'v done both personally. NEVER had a leak with pex, but I only use high quality clamps and brass fittings. When we built our house everything was copper. but a small defect, a pinhole in the new copper pipe can cause a lot of problems, thankfully I found mine before it was sheetrocked. Actually with the poor quality of materials today, not sure Id use copper even if it was cheaper, where was it manufactured? LOL
